The Story of Moses Fleeing Egypt

The next day he saw two Hebrews fighting and tried to stop them. One of them turned on him and asked if Moses meant to kill him too, and Moses realized the deed was known.
When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to have Moses killed. So Moses fled Egypt entirely and traveled far east to the land of Midian, sitting down beside a well.
There he helped the daughters of the priest Jethro, also called Reuel, when other shepherds drove them away. He was welcomed into the family, married Zipporah, and spent many years tending sheep, far from the palace he once called home.
